JONATHAN PARRY

Mr. Parry has twenty years’ experience working with IOC’s, NOC’s and Independents. As a Principal Engineer he has participated in major capital projects in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. At ConocoPhillips he provided oversight to Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Caspian and Russian well operations, and contributed to their new ventures and farm-in activities. In Functional Excellence Mr. Parry is familiar with defining appropriate standards and processes to manage corporate risk and enhance value. He specializes in the drilling, completion and production of complex wells and has led technology developments to enhance these wells.

As a Director at CERA Mr. Parry lead their global unconventional gas research receiving a Danny award nomination for best written and researched analysis. An expert in North American Gas Supply Mr. Parry contributed to CERA’s monthly North American gas market outlook and managed the global supply forecasting team including LNG analytics. An author of numerous publications on gas market dynamics, speaker and keynote speaker at CERA week, industry conferences, and board level presentations.

Based in Houston, Texas, Mr. Parry is a professional engineer and a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Science, Economics and Management from Christ Church, Oxford University where he was an ICI engineering scholar, and a Master of Business Administration for Executives from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University where he was a Jones Scholar. Mr. Parry has lived in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, and the United States.
