Mr. Lopez de la Osa, an Affiliate Director of Accumyn and the Director of the Center for US and Mexican Law at the University of Houston Law Center has served in public and private business, universities and law firms focusing in comparative and international legal perspectives, as well in European union law studies for over twenty years. He is currently an adjunct professor of law and works in projects involving United States and Mexican legal systems, from national, transnational and international perspectives. He has also taught legal issues in global business and finance, human rights, and biotechnology, in addition life sciences legislation as well as medical malpractice and medical risk management issues.
He is the author of many books, chapters, and essays related to comparative legal systems, international aspects, public law and health law. He has also strong management and negotiation skills, having worked on raising funds for academic research centers, signing memorandums for students exchange programs between universities, organized international summits, international and national congresses, expert’s seminars, summer courses and several seminars on a variety of topics.
He has been previously qualified as an expert dealing with US cross-border international law, preparation of expert reports and expert testimony regarding legal disputes, forensic legal analysis, trust administration, underwriting and claims expert.
Prior to Accumyn, Mr. Lopez de la Osa’s litigation and arbitration experience included complex commercial matters, partnership disputes, breach of contract disputes, product liability and personal injury litigation. He has also been a featured expert to discuss international legal issues on television news outlets in Spain, and on Houston’s Fox 26 and Houston Public Media.
Ms. Lopez de la Osa earned a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Masters in European Law and JD from the University Complutense of Madrid. He is a Professor of Administrative Law at the University Complutense de Madrid Law School, Spain. Is admitted to the Madrid bar since 1999.
