Accumyn’s Ian Threadgold co-presented ‘Best Practice Contractor Management in Oil & Gas Including the Geophysical Sector’ at the 2018 American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Professional Development Conference in San Antonio, Texas on June 4, 2018. His co-author was L. John Barrett, a Safety Specialist with BHP Petroleum.

In their presentation, they described oil and gas industry best practices for contractor management including how building relationships and collaboration between client and contractor is critical to properly manage risk, and ensure optimum contract outcomes.

Mr. Threadgold, an affiliate director at Accumyn, is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and serves as a safety management systems expert and auditor in the capital project management, petroleum & chemicals and industrial safety & quality assurance practices.  His over forty years of technical, supervisory, managerial and operational experience in worldwide geophysical and exploration projects in the upstream oil and gas industry has provided him with exceptional project management and safety management insight.
