Dr. Prescott, an Economist, has considerable experience in litigation consulting and strategic analysis. Dr. Prescott’s litigation consulting career has focused on questions of liability and damages in antitrust and intellectual property. He has also determined damages in significant contract disputes, constructed very large datasets from multiple produced sources and conducted statistical analysis of the data, addressed the appropriate value of employee stock options and conducted a valuation of a minority interest in a prominent professional sports team. In addition, Dr. Prescott has deep experience in strategy consulting in several industries, most notably broadband telecommunications.
Dr. Prescott’s work has covered a wide variety of markets and industries, including financial services, real estate, prescription drugs, motion pictures, industrial gases, industrial chemicals, telecommunications, industrial and institutional power maintenance systems, hospitality, tire distribution, health insurance, automobile warranties and industry association management.
Upon completing his graduate work, Dr. Prescott’s litigation consulting career began with LECG and has included significant positions with Chicago Partners, Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse and Accumyn Consulting. He has also provided services through his own firm, LLP Economics, LLC. He has provided strategy consulting services through The MAC Group, SLC Consultants and Arthur Andersen, and has served in an internal strategy development position with GTE Corporation.
Dr. Prescott has also served as an adjunct professor at Texas Christian University, where he taught seven sections of introductory microeconomics from 2005 through 2008.
Prior to graduate school, Dr. Prescott was a highly successful technical sales representative for a major manufacturer of specialized and complex industrial chemicals.
