Mr. Tormo is a Senior Managing Director of Accumyn Consulting with over 25 years of experience focusing on dispute damages analysis, valuation, finance, and forensic accounting.  As an expert witness economist and CPA, and current Director of Operations of Accumyn, Mr. Tormo leads a team of seasoned professionals that works full time in assisting clients in litigation matters. This group has worked for years as a consolidated team as part of one of the leading dispute consulting practices in the United States.  Mr. Tormo specializes in preparing economic damage claims and reviewing claims on behalf of defendants.  The analysis of complex damages and financial forensic investigations have been the core practice areas for Mr. Tormo for over two decades, having consulted in more than 1,000 dispute cases in a wide variety of industries  – Energy, Chemicals, Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation, Financial Services, Real Estate, Technology, Computers, Software, Telecommunications and Health Care.

In connection with his work, Mr. Tormo has testified as an expert in U.S. state and federal courts, domestic and ICC/ICSID international arbitrations, as well as courts in foreign jurisdictions in Latin America.

Mr. Tormo has extensive experience in the analysis of complex damages in commercial litigation disputes, insurance claims, personal injury disputes, and intellectual property infringement claims.  Economic damage claims in the oil and gas, energy and petrochemical industries have been a specialty of Mr. Tormo for the last two decades.

Mr. Tormo began his career at Deloitte & Touche.  Prior to joining Accumyn, Mr. Tormo led dispute practices at LECG and BDO Seidman.

From small claims to large complex commercial litigation cases, Mr. Tormo is well known for the expedient and cost effective management of litigation support, valuation and financial forensic assignments.

  • Mr. Tormo is a graduate of Rice University (1987) with a triple major in Economics, Managerial Studies/Business Administration, and Political Science. He also completed two years of post- baccalaureate studies in science and mathematics at Rice (1988-1989) and is a graduate of the Rice Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Administration, in Houston, Texas, with a Master of Accounting (1991).
